What ever happened to: Phil Rasak

Hey Guys.
I looking for some info on Phil Rasak, a radio host associated with Texas Overnight back from the 1990's.

The one small trail I have found is this from 1997...

http://www.geezergraphics.com/cyberline/brumley.htm

Late-night radio listeners might have noticed that Phil Rasak is no longer manning the mike on weekends at KRLD. Randy Brown, program director for the Texas State Networks, fired Mr. Rasak a couple of weeks ago. "We just felt like we weren't going where we wanted to," Mr. Brown said. No word yet on a replacement. Mr. Rasak was on the air from 1 to 5 a.m. Saturdays and from midnight to 5 a.m. Sundays.

I'm looking for a former fan friend of mine from Houston, who wants to build a Wikipedia Article.

Thanks in advance for your help...

Hi,

Phillip Rasak (Phillip Mahfood) actually started his talk radio career, if I'm not mistaken, at KTBB AM600 in Tyler. He did a mid morning talk call in talk show for a couple of years there. He then moved on to KRLD overnights. He was also an author if I remember correctly.

Phillip died several years ago. You may be able to get some information from his brother Michael Mahfood who operates Group M7 Design in Tyler. He (Phillip) also has sons in the area that may be of some help - you will have to get their contact info from Michael.

Hope this help a little.

Daf

One of his son's is John Mahfood. He owns and operates a tattoo shop south of Tyler near Bullard called Resurrection Ink. John has a bunch of Phillip's old airchecks.
