The great Citadel apologist has gone MIA.We'd love to hear his take on all the bankruptcy talk and how its not affecting the Syracuse operation AT ALL.
Will someone have the heart to tell '"ROCKIN" that all the regionals will be toast when 11 happens?
 
More than a few readers suspected Rockin' Science was Kevin Legrett. If this is the case, it's likely he's got better things to do these days. Helping Farid flesh out the rules for Citadel's "Find the $150 Million by January 15th Contest?" Perhaps polishing his resume?
 
I have noticed rockin science on the syracuse.com TV/radio forum, where he is replying to any of Champagne Lennny posts. This board has gotten cold. What is going on in Radioland, especially during the last months of the year? Businesses buying time? When are the one day sales? and why is Sunny playing holiday music.....all ready?

Looking back, they started that early last year, too. I think it's a little extreme to start at the beginning of November. At least wait until, say, this weekend or next. But, apparently my opinion doesn't agree with the ratings. I can't see any other reason they'd start so early again... they must have decent numbers. In one aspect, they manage to hook stores who want Christmas music over their PAs earlier than the competition is willing to provide it. But in another aspect, I'd imagine any year-round P1's they have have since absconded to the competition. Holiday music is OK here and there, but if I had a radio in my office, there's no way I could listen to non-stop holiday music every day starting on November 2nd. I'd go insane.

B. Still @ Citadel.
C. I got sick of debunking the SeenItAll's and noITall's on the board.
D. Syracuse cluster is hitting budgets and is profitable. All is well here. In fact, the regionals that are gonna be toast are actually outperforming major markets.
E. We're still NOT flipping formats to country.

We're all morons! Citadel is genius and we just "don't get it".
 
Did I say that everything is fine at Citadel? No, I didn't. Did I say that it's a genius operation? No, I didn't.

Once again, this is I why I don't bother with the mental midgets on this board.

The Syracuse cluster IS hitting it's budgets and IS profitable. No matter how much Galaxy math you apply to the books. Does that make it more likely or less likely to be spun off and sold to a smaller regional radio company? I don't know, I wouldn't speculate cuz, just like everyone else on this bored I don't know sh*t about it. Yes, the spelling of bored was intentional.

Smaller markets are doing better and are less impacted by the drastic reduction in national spending than major markets, that's across the board all over the country, not just at Citadel.

And seriously, very flattering to know I was missed. Sad for you guys, but flattering all the same.

Same here, these guys just think they know it all. Its has killed the creativity completely, for many years
