What exactly IS up at WLS ?

In the past few weeks there have been one-day outages of iBOC on the 50kw AMs in Chicago, as would be expected for upgrades.
On WLS, the was one such day about 2 weeks ago, another about jul 30.
Yesterday there was no iBOC again, along with some other iBOCs/off WSCR 670 and WTMJ 620.

This morning on the way into work, they all had iBOC back on at 7:30 AM when I checked.
I took a phone call from a customer, and when I checked back WLS was analog only.

At lunchtime, they're still analog only.

The iBOC is off again over at WSCR, too.

Are they just getting tired of rebooting these things?

I wonder just how often they are having to reboot them?
Or just how many upgrades can be applied?

A phantom reply this PM alluded that difficulties continue for ibquity.
Some of the terminology sounded perhaps too well-informed or too close to the matter and this post vanished.
I will respect the removal of this post by not turning on my mental data rewinder and paraphrasing the info.
Its disappearance gives those of us with questions another one to ponder.

WLS and WSCR were analog only for the rest of the day hours.

WLS sounded wonderful this afternoon on the way home, and I listened to WGTO 910 for a while, just for old time's sake.
They ran some old WLS jingles.

I'm in the Twin Cities, and on Wed evening shortly after the bridge collapse, long before sundown, I noticed WCCO's IBOC sidebands were missing...biggest story in Minneapolis history and you couldn't hear about it in HD....

Vanishing posts on this board?

Hmmm...

Monday, everythings's back to full hissss, shot-in-the-foot mode. Ow!

How's your RF interferer today? I think I'll run a quenched-spark gap MOPA TNTtoday with Model-T interruptor modulation.
How's all your wideband spash gear doing?
Can't wait to hear your latest 20,000 khz taking up 7 AM channels. Let 'er rip.
