What format for AOTW?

Hi Guys,

Not everyone posted what their preferences are in the roll call, so I'm going to ask this. I'm trying to get some ideas as to what most people want to hear in an aircheck of the week. You know, it makes no sense to post an aircheck if no one is interested in it.

Let me know if you agree with this or not, and any other formats that I'm forgetting (which I know I am).

There are a group of formats that I'm sure would have unanimous approval.
- CHR
- Dance
- Oldies (incl. Jack, 80s, 70s, doo wop, etc)
- Classic Rock
- A/C (all varieties)

There are a few formats that I think have lesser interest:
- Country
- Christian Contemporary
- Jazz
- Urban/Hip Hop
- Satellite
- MOST syndicated shows

Then, there are a few formats that I think have no interest:
- Classical
- News
- Talk
- Spanish (or other language)
- Public Radio
- Other Religious

I'll go for contemporary country any time, along with "Classic Top 40" from most major markets. I also like to hear current country, since we don't have one in NY. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to AOTW!<P ID="signature">______________

I love to hear smooth jazz airchecks from the '80s and early '90s when there was more of a "new age" flavor and less R&B.

As for Urban, I like gold-leaning Urban ACs and Urban Oldies formats. Even Jammin' Oldies.

Agreed on those. I do look for "Talk" airchecks if I happen to like the personality. But most of the ones I'm looking for are probably ones you all have never heard anyway.

I'm hoping to contribute more to this AOTW idea in the near future. I've been quite busy with 3 jobs until now, since I have scaled it back to just 2.

Well John, I think you and everyone else on this board know what I like!
