What format IS WPLJ?

I asked because, I thought it was Hot AC.
But at the top of their page (you know, that blue bar at the top of every windows screen?) they're web page is titled "955 WPLJ: Hit Music."

But I was listening on-line just now, and I heard Phil Collins.
Last I checked, Phil Collins did not have a hit out.

So what's the deal?

WPLJ is mainly Hot AC (has recently gone in a more Variety Hits direction in response to Jack). I don't know whats up with their website. It still says "Best Mix of the 80s, 90s, and Today", but they haven't used that in many months.
______________

Well, the page doesn't say CURRENT hit music. :)

It not longer says the best mix..etc they just redid their webpage. In response to the window title that says Hit Music, that was a generic title their web designers used. The same generic title is used on KEarth's in LA, but says oldies there.

I just checked out the new PLJ website, and it's a little easier to navigate, and still very colorful. I looked at the DJ Page, and their schedule is all over the place. Mid-Days, PM Drive, Nights and even overnights are broken up in the middle of the week, with no one jock working Mon-Fri. I hope they don't do that during the 4 Arbitron rating periods.

It looks to me like they have the hours specific to this week. Since Thursday and Friday are holidays, regulsr slots are being handled by the fill-ins, which makes the schedule look scattered. I think their weekdays are pretty consistent.

Right, they always do that. If a DJ will be on vacation a certain week, they won't listed as being on the air for any time slot.
______________
