What format should RED flip to?

Let's face it Red's ratings stink, Personally I think the music mix of the station is pretty good and Bender is pretty good in afternoons but the numbers just aint there. That brings me to what is likley an eminent format change for the station. What format is not covered in BR and could draw numbers?

I think that a "Super hits of the 70's" format might work.
Black Gospel on FM?
Perhaps an Alternative rock outlet as apposed to a Rock station. x104 has a terrible signal in BR.
Even AAA might work in the area. (See 92zew.net for a good southern AAA station)

Any other ideas/predictions

Super hits of the 70s were tried in New Orleans and failed miserably after a few good books if memory serves

Black gospel on FM..... hum? Had that on 104.1 till recently and did pretty good numbers, But I think they will want to keep the numbers high on their am station.. (as sales numbers are said to be low as a format)

Dunno about AAA, need to listen to a few more to judge (but my guess is hard to catch on)...

104 the x has two signals in town and still has problems especially in a college town? Most have been going active as apparently the way the market wants to go lately (as alternatives are being blown up for active rock lately IMO)

Sports? Nah....maybe News on FM but cost too much

swamp pop/cajun? Baton Rouge has some listeners but not enough for a full time station IMO

Actually a classic hits (a true one) would be my logical guess .. But I think I would rather it a different way.

Listening tonight, they had an awesome classic/new rock mixture going... soundgarden to Evanescense to doobies to Matchbox 20..kind of reminded me of the 92.3 days

great slogan ,albet only slightly modified...

If it rocks, it's 93.7 RDJ

Kind of a sleep at the wheel (that's what you get for posting half asleep) ... a great slogan to use if they would ever do a everything that rocks format again.

But Citadel has a black talk format on am but I think no local news, I don't know if Citadel is willing to fly the cost of a real news/talk outlet (hiring a few for news etc) in Baton Rouge.

RDJ has a great signal on the LSU campus, a spot where both 104s suck. Active rock would be good since 104.1 seems to be trending more towards 90s rock.

I can't ever pick up X104.9 or X104.5. I am enjoying 104.1 but I do think it would be a smart move to flip 93.7 back to rock. It was strange when it flipped for Red?

I actually like Red. At times, they get into AAAish sweeps and i've heard some great stuff like Matthew Sweet, Johnny Cash, you name it. It's a fun station. If anything, I'd just evolve it into more of an adult rock station.
