What format would you like to hear on 105.9?

How about a good, old fashioned, real top 40 format with personality DJ's. If it's in the top 40, play it.

On another thread, this would be a perfectly legit rebuttal. On this thread, there is no wrong answer. It's just what you would like to hear. Period.

My bad. I got the multiple 105.9 threads I'm reading confused. Continue with fantastical wishes.

you know, for all intents and purposes, that isnt exactly a TERRIBLE idea...lets take a quick look at the CC Orlando Stations...

JRR - just FINALLY won a 10 year battle...still bill incredibly...theyre not going anywhere...
Magic - maybe sliding a little bit...Delilah will ensure that Magic and its format stay put...
Rumba and the new mexican station - um...anyone wanna speculate that these will flip anytime soon? i think not...
WFLASports - its not going anywhere...they will always happily be #2 behind DBO...

that leaves Real Radio or XL...

Real Radio is a target, but who would want to put a hot-talk on the air to battle them...1 decreasingly popular hot talk + 1 new hot talk = alot of hot talk that NOBODY would listen to...

XL is a sitting duck...someone comes to Orlando and REALLY delivers a Big Market Top 40 sounding station to the metro...and you'd see XL topple! I doubt anyone will disagree? Can any of you say that XL is a GOOD Top 40 station?

By the way...

...you owe $250 to the charity of my choice. When I first arrived in Orlando in December of '05 you boldly predicted that The Morning After Show would only last 6 months. I offered a wager that it would last longer (which it did...barely...lol).

Wait...you never responded...guess you didn't take the bet.

Never mind.

Wait, was this the Drew and Mel morning after show...i dont remember that far back, but did THAT version of the "morning after show" last 6 months? :)

all friendly ribbing SR...how about a donation to the "Drew Needs A Job Again" foundation?

I actually talked with Drew and was very impressed with how well he was handling and processing everything.

Considering how he went out of the CC gig...it was a complete turn-around from that version of Drew. Drew had worked very hard to avoid that reputation and was very much greatful for the 2nd chance...no matter how it turned out (and we all know that story by now). I wish him the best...whether it is in radio, food service, or professional basketball. Out of everyone I spoke to (just about everyone) Drew was handling it the most realisticly, professionally, and with the most class.

Oh...and Savannah took over for Mel on July 11th...MAS started on December 10th. That is over 7 months with Mel.

I win.

SR

I don't know drew but he seems like a cool guy to get to know. I also wish drew the best of luck. I remember hearing drew on overnights on tks. anyway, that's neither here or there. I wish everyone from orock the best of luck. I was going to intern with mel or somewhere at orock but forget it now. Oroc seemed like a cool place to intern at. now i have no idea if i'll intern or not
