What Free FM Phoenix may look like.....

Not too many hosts to choose from in the format. I'd still opt to listen to J&J on XM though, as I've found them entertaining many a-nights as of late. Better than the same music that I can hear on my Ipod, CD player, PC, MP3 player, 5 FM stations, DirecTV, XM, Sirius, dentist's office, etc.

I do enjoy their show and for that time slot I think it would be a good choice. Also think if Free Phoenix decided to plug in a local host in the Frosty and gang time slot, I would even slide Frosty and the gang show to overnights. I also thought of someone else who I think is not working at this time who would be great on Free FM, Rick Emerson. He used to have a syndicated show and I caught him when I lived in buffalo. Enjoyed his show alot.

Since FH&H's regional distribution is more of an in-house cost cutting move than actual syndication, I doubt they'd be on anytime other than live.

As for Rick Emerson, you can thank him and Don Imus for killing the format in Portland.

What did Rick do to kill the format?? I am out of the loop on that one

While Leykis pulled double-digit shares, placing 2nd among men 18-34 and placed 3rd among men 24-54 with the highest male demos on AM, and Don and Mike did slightly less, Imus and Rick might as well have entered a witness protection program on Max 910. Since the station was a ghost town from 7pm-12pm, it got flipped to some nostalgia format.
