What Gavin Spittle Should Do at The Fan

This morning I heard an ad advertising the Fan Sports Show on TXA-21 ... on the Ticket.

Pity ad, or oversight?

I vote for pity ad. It was an ad for a TV sport and they do not feel threatened by the radio station in the least.

On a side not I was listening to the FAN while the Musers were on a commericial break. They really need to get rid of that Jasmine girl. She is completely clueless.
 
The fan sports show isn't related to the fan. TXA-21 is, but the show just has a similar name.

How is jasmine clueless? Give me jasmine over Gordon in sports talk.

Yes, but the fan sports show has nothing to do with the fan radio station. TXA-21 is a sister station yes, but the show isn't directly related to the radio station.

If you ever listen to her she really is not intelligent and then to top it off not funny. Gordo is intelligent and funny. They are both annoying, but Gordo is funny where as Jasmine is just annoying.

Then to top it off, when Gordo is being serious about sports, (which is rare), he actually will make some very insightful points.
 
My favorite part of this thread is metroneck still trying to crowbar John Clay Wolf into the mix...

Except for the part where they go live to RAGE in the Fan studio every day and bring the hosts in to the TV studio from time to time. And the part where they use a version of The Fan's logo. Other than that, no, it's not related at all.
 
They're a sister station. The fan sports lounge carries the same name, logo, and they used to broadcast from there. They have nothing to do with CBS...

Um, actually CBS sports owns the fan sports lounge. So they do have something to do with it.

It's not open anymore.. word is it failed (which to shock of no one when it happened) how do you have a decent place but do no shows from there except for random ones. They should have done at least 3 shows a week from there
 
They did actually, more than that in fact. From what I know, CBS did not own the restaurant, but was in name affilation. My guess is Mavs lockout last year and stars this year put a big hamper on the business.
 
Although on paper there may not be a connection, it is more then obvious there is the intent to link the station with the show. Naming the show the "The Fan" is enough to prove that by it's self. And as mentioned earlier, RAGE has a daily segment.
 
One thought is with the CBS SRN partnership, CBS & Cumulus are in bed together. There are a lot of rumor that they will eventually merge.
