Apparently, Jim Szoke, may not be Al Gardner's replacement as previously announced afterall. This morning (Thursday), Doc Washburn, most recently let go by Clear Channel in Forida, is sitting in with Stacy Simms.

Apparently, Washburn's been a successful talk show host in Panama City, Florida. His career began in his hometown of Charlotte back in 1977, around the time "Saturday Night Fever" was released. Washburn says the the music of that era attracted him to the dj booth. But he thought talk radio was boring at the time.
"That completely changed and I've been a talk show host and would hate to go back to being just a dj again," Washburn added. "Doc" says when he's behind the mic, he's going to bring a no nonsense approach to his listeners. Cutting through the clutter; creating theater of the mind in the context of conservative morning talk radio...consistently".
"What I'm going to do is each day is come in and talk about the issues that people are concerned about," Washburn said. "Talk radio is all about conflict because I'm going to express some very strong opinions on the most controversial stuff in the news everyday."
Is he a hire? Or is he just auditioning? Will there be others sitting in in the days ahead?
