What Happen to Beach 99.3?

It just hit thursday morning and it was time for my lunch break. I work at night and i bring my mp3 player to listen to music on my break. I was going through the stations and i heard 99.3 Playing Rap music. I thought maybe another station was comming in over 99.3 since it was a foggy night. But it said it was 99.3 The Beat and it was for panama city. Now, 93.5 was called the beat and now 99.3 is the beat. I thought they were 2 different stations until i listend to 93.5 and it was playing the same thing. So why did 93.5 switch over to 99.3 and now have 2 Freq playing the Same thing? ???

i went www.beachfm.com and the site is still up, but if you go to http://www.935thebeat.com/main.html the site is under construction.

So is 93.5 going to change to something eles in the future ???
Anybody have any information on why this happen ???

Thanks

One Correction now that it's the afternoon

The Website has changed and the new 99.3 the beat site now works.
But for some reason, if you type beachfm.com, it takes you to sunny 98.5.

And the beat is still playing on two FREQ.

Another station down the tubes. They can't compete with PFM, though. Radio needs a new format. (they were better off becoming BOB or JACK

Rob

wonder how long it's going to take for the beat to just have there signal on 99.3 and not on 93.5 too. After that happens, there will be 2 stations that don't have anything on them. 104.3 still is not on air and don't have any clue what it's going to be. I guess we will see what happens in the days, weeks, or months to come.

After looking at the formats in Panama City, i really don't know what other formats they could add. Oldies is the only thing that we don't have now. So maybe they will come back to 93.5 or 104.3. And 93.5 has not changed yet, it's still playing 99.3. We will see what happens if anything does happen on sunday into monday morning.

An FM talker to compete with WYOO?

Hmmmmmm indeed Charlie...

can't say anything about this topic.....sorry

we were lucky enough to keep The Beat switch to 99.3 quiet....it has been in the works for a long time......the newly painted "99.3 The Beat" remote van was hidden at one of our transmitter sites down a guy wire path for over a month ;)

Talk on 93.5? Surely you jest....

After thinking about it Charlie, I guess talk isn't a good fit for the 93.5 frequency.

But, what could you put there....hmmm....the plot thickens...

Hey congrats again to PAP for station of the year!
