What happen to WAJP-FM 107.7 Perry Florida

I remember now. Here's the number for Bronco 107, you said in that post you were thinking of calling to see about helping out... 928-328-1881
But if you don't I guess that's okay. Also I hope they're not using the low quality 24 KBPS stream I posted earlier in this thread to feed the station...

Well according to one of the admins at Hispanic Target Media WAJP is back and running fine now.

I was told they had the transmitter fixed, got a new audio processor, and they had a tower crew go up and fix a bad "jumper" (whatever that is).
No audio stream anymore though.

They are now playing Regional Spanish Music. Its coming in LOUD and Clear here in Wakulla County and Crawfordville area. Tallahassee will get it as well. (if your in the southside). I am not sure about the Northside of town.

Well if it's Regional Spanish now, how well will it do in Perry? According to the website Perry's got little to no Mexicans. They should play something American in that case LOL.

It's a farming region. Most likely there are lots of migrant workers that don't show up on the census. If the station brings listeners to businesses, it doesn't matter very much what the population numbers say.

Well they can play what they wanna play, but as long as they include legal IDs. If their station there in Florida's anything like their stations here in TX, expect lots of downtime and possibly no legal ID. I had to email them a few times before they finally did anything about the IDs for the Texas stations. Still one of their Texas stations (KGWT) has no ID.

Any imaging or station announcements or is it just music?

Well apparently WAJP simulcasts with KUKY in Yuma, AZ. I heard an ID on one of the company's Texas stations, it listed WAJP along with about 6 or 7 other stations. They're all retransmitting KUKY, which calls itself Radio Amigo and is one of the few Hispanic Target stations with staff running it. The rest, including WAJP, sit empty at least according to my knowledge. Some of them don't even have studios, they just transmit Internet feeds from the tower sites.

This whole thing is honestly getting silly IMO, they could at least throw a message up on all the stations they're looking for staff...
But I don't even know if they are looking.

Long story short, a company who shouldn't ever own an FCC license IMO.
