What happened at KRON-4 and KPIX/CBS-5???

There were no mention of these so I am just wondering if I am the only one who has noticed this......

Seems like KRON 4 is trying to cut cost by having their meteorologiests do with the weather and the traffic. Does that happen in their morning show too? or just in the evening newscasts? In addition, they seems to have cut back on their 5pm newscast and stick in "The Insider" on their 5:30pm time slot. Does this have anything to do with KTVU's 5 O'Clock News?

Also, KPIX (or... CBS 5) seems to have returned to their old schedule for their 5pm hour. They now have news from 5pm-5:30pm and CBS Evening News from 5:30pm-6pm. and a full hour of news at 6pm instead of 6:30pm.

Any explanation as to why did KRON and KPIX did what they've done?

Young Broadcasting is cheap and they don't want to pay decent wages. That's why you have seen many talented people leave. Hopefully somebody will purchase the station soon.

> I agree that Young appears to be a cheap company, but they may be losing money hand-over-fist given what they paid for that "high rated major market NBC affiliate" (ha, ha). But "Traffic and Weather" together has been around for decades- mostly on radio. I can't see why anybody would object to combining them on TV.
