anyone know?
local guy who owns the cbs TV affiliate, decided to buy, it had been in the works since the 1st of the year. who knows, right now a deal could be in the works to sell all or part of the west texas properties.crow said:I would think that GAP would sell the gangrene cluster up in Amarillo before Midland. I am very curious as to what brought all this all on.
crow said:That would surprise me, GAP maybe and I stress MAYBE selling their West Texas clusters, simply for the fact that I would think that they would be pretty profitable for GAP. However, I have been out of the game for a year so what the hell do I know. I would think it's just GAP dumping their least profitable properties. If that's what they are doing... I would think that Amarillo would be next, that's IF someone would actually be interested in that mess. However, it's not like they have a massive staff up there... so it might be some what profitable from that aspect.

Remember just about any sale brings debt which must be paid on top of the existing operating costs. The new operator must increase revenues or cut costs or both just to break even on the deal.
