What happened to 1010's audio?

When they started out it was really quite good. Hearing Earth Wind and Fire and Parlement on AM sounded so cool..wish it could have better "soul" imaging..now the processing is just dreadful..on a signal that needs help, but a nice bump in upper midrange, would sure be welcome..now it's muddy, distorted, and clipped.

1010 is missing the boat by not playing the old Top 40 Hits, The Motown Sound along with some good R&B. I guess Steve has one listerner who likes his current mix, himself.

that's great. I'll concur, when I first heard 1010, I was like WOW, this reminds me of a combo of Radio One's failed attempt at "Jammin Oldies" back in the late 90's on 107.5 and Kiss 104 from the early 90's, but it has gone to the toilet.

Originally thought this would be great one one of those translators. Not anymore.
