When did 103X in Florence drop CHR and go Hot AC? I even heard the syndicated Cooper Lawrence show on there. Yikes! This station used to be fun and now Florence doesn't have it's own CHR anymore. Nothing wrong with Hot AC but why switch when Star 93.7, Sunny 105.5, and now even 95.3 Frank FM are filling the AC void.

What happened to 103X?

WOW!!!!!! 103X has been TOP 40 as long as I can remember all be it in the eighties was kinda simular to what 99.9 Kiss FM was doing in Asheville... Looking at their ratings maybe they can catch some of the Flo Town Soccer moms and get them glued... CC
Let's face it outside morning drive there is no personality on the station. It's boring all the jox do is frontsell, backsell and give you no reason to listen there is no teasing (artist tidbits) to keep you listening. How are they building TSL they're NOT!
Musically there are some familliar and alot of unfamiliar songs on the station the voice guy pukes and he is more for an AC station not CHR/Hot AC. I think they need to clean house starting with the GM OM & PD and start over.

Is POWER 99 still on in Florence? Isn't it a Rhythmic station that launched about 2 or 3 years ago? Did they cause this flip?
Power 99.3 is in Kingtree and is still going good. We can hear it good here in the Elloree/Santee area while 99.1 in Barnwell is still off the air. This will change soon as 99.1 is a 25KW station from Barnwell and covers Orangeburg to this area. They wanted me to move WLRE to 99.1 at 25KW to increase our coverage area but the 99.1 station is a noncom and I just couldn't see trying to pay a 25KW electric bill on a noncom in this economy and area right now.
Florence, SC seems to be more of a Urban format type market. Just look they can handle 4 of them with 3 of them being Urban AC and 1 Urban.
