what happened to 1077?

Can someone please tell me what has happened to Mix 1077's ratings? They've fallen from a consistent 7.5-8.5 to 5.3 (12+).

You may like the programming, but my question is, "what happened to the hundreds of other former listeners who apparently don't listen to the station now."

I am willing to bet Fly 92.9 has taken some of their audience away. I like Mix, and the people that work there are nice, but they can only lean 80s for so long before people get tired of the same songs over and over.

Mix is tired to me. They should go Adult CHR to be honest. 945's already a wounded animal anyway. Also, Fly is probably taking A LOT of their audience. I wish they bought the book. I miss Z93 but Main Line was smart it looks like.

My thoughts exactly lovejamminoldies! Mix is tired and old...they really should try to sound more like Mix 107.9/WVMX in Columbus, the ONLY good station left in ol' Cowtown. ;D

I agree!! Finally someone sees my point of view! Mix sounds excellent for Saga and they have a small signal! They could hurt WNCI if they really tried and had an upgraded signal! Mix 971 sounded good tho... they had jingles and right before they left, they were pretty close to Adult CHR... and with that said... the book that came out right after they flipped, both 1460 and 971 went up. Mix 1079 has a lot of good ideas and they're spending time on it, but they got to find a way to promote it.

And if the PD is smart, he would send Mix more toward a CHR since they still want Sunny to be the one ahead. That'd be fun. :D

Yes, a few years a-go CC upgraded the former WTUE tower and put the whole Dayton cluster on it. Effectly moving WMMX from one side of the gravel pit to the other.

WDSJ isn't on the new tower.

Looking at the ratings, I can't give actual numbers, but WGTZ "Fly" did really well, so did Urban sister 102.9.

Looks like most of Mix cume left for Fly. I don't know why the urban station did so well. Fly was #4 in the market if that helps.

Not certain what demo KentuckyMedia is looking at to get that #4 ranking. I see #10 12+ and not in the top five with A25-54 or with Women. Confusing.

[EDIT-inflammatory]

WGTZ was #10 in Phase1 and #6 in Phase2.
WMMX was #4 in Phase1 and #7 in Phase2

When you break out the demos.

Women 25-54 WGTZ was #4
Persons 25-54 WGTZ was tied for #5 with WMMX

Explain that to me? Want to see how you do your math?

As for WGTZ meeting the flyswatter...it makes too much money to do that! The thing bills WAY more than Z93 did before they had to put the needle in it.

Am I reading you straight, Kentucky? Are you using just two trends here...not a whole book...to make your point?
