What happened to Disco Sat. Night tonight?

I know music has to change to keep interesting, but tonights show was awful in my opinion. Too many songs were given a dj remix so bad that they were pretty far from original. Where is Ray Rhodes? Sorry, but I'm really disappointed that tonights program featured so many mangled songs. I hope this is not the direction the show is going.
Anyone connected with KBIG 104 care to comment?

I'm no longer connected with them, but I can tell you that my philosophy for DSN was always that the fan of the show loved the music and wanted to hear it the way he or she did back in the day. Occasionally Ray would play a longer album cut of the song, but for the most part it was always the way the disco fan remembered it when they first heard it.

I haven't listened to the show since I left so I can't really comment on what they're doing to it now.
______________

From what i have heard from the folks down the hall, the mixer is responsible for bringing there own vinyl. So if somebody is filling in they can only play the versions that they personally own. It's probably hard to find originals of those old songs.

Ray would often play his own copies of the songs. However, almost all the disco hits heard on DSN are available in Prophet.
______________

I heard Ray Rhodes got a great offer from a station in Miami. Any truth to the rumor ?
