What happened to Eric Deters on 700 WLW?

I checked the website this morning and a new host is listed from 9pm to midnight-- a Marc Amazon. Actually the webplayer is the only place mentioning this guy in their upcoming shows list. What happened to Bulldog Nation? I had heard no hint Deters was leaving the Mason blowtorch.

He's not. He has always been a part-timer on WLW and will still be heard on weekends. He was only doing the evening gig until a permanent host was found. Marc Amazon is that new permanent host.

Bulldog Nation is alive and well!

Cool. Cunningham never mentioned anything about Deters in the interview with Amazon (which has got to be a fake name).

I can't speak to whether Amazon is a fake name. However I can definitely confirm that Deters is back to part-time only work at WLW. He wanted to concentrate on the 50 other things he has going on.

Okay, 50 may be an exaggeration, but if I recall correctly, he owns Bulldog's on the Levee (along with, I THINK, a couple convenience stores in the area), he has his law practice (in both Ohio and Kentucky), a media production service (which appears to be new), and is writing THREE books this year! Not to mention he's got to have time for his family... though I wonder when.

That's not a slam on him - FAR from it. But with all those irons in the fire, it would be tough to squeeze in time for family even for a healthy 25 year old like me...

Isn't he fighting being disbarred in Kentucky? How does he have time to do any radio? One would think that an attorney that is defending himself from disbarment would avoid controversy or spotlight.

But he defies conventional wisdom. He just yells into a microphone. Board op must not be feeding him audio loud enough.

Surely he has heard this before and has never been bothered to correct it. It's highly annoying, to say the least.

I'd hate to be around him when he gets laryngitis.

Amen! What an incredible, self promoting, blow hard. He is certainly full of himself.
