What happened to Justin Powlowski?

He's been off the air and replaced with Yahoo Sports since Wednesday, and none of his pre-recorded spots have aired since then as far as I can tell.

Was he informed that he wouldn't be brought over to the FM side and walk out?

Last I heard he was spotted at a local Publix eating subs. #FGU

you both are wrong. He didn't walk out, and he's not been spotted at Publix. Ok, I don't know about the Publix thing...maybe he has been spotted there.

However, The Commish and all of the shows ended their 'live' shows back on July 13th. I'm told this was announced by at least one of the shows on that day - I wasn't in town, so I wasn't listening. I'm also told that they've gone into automation mode until the new station (98.7 The Fan) launches because they are gutting the studios as a part of a major facelift CBS is giving them. I haven't seen anything formal about if Justin is going to be a part of the new team, but I've heard that he has a good shot. He certainly does a solid job in terms of research and is usually on point. If rumors hold true, CBS has put together a pretty solid live/local line up for Tampa - it should be interesting. And if Justin isn't on the line-up, it's likely we ALL will spot him eating subs at Publix.

He's part of the lineup, and will be there when the station launches on August 2nd. This is the least-listened to or least-cared part of the year for sports talk so it makes sense for CBS to get its talent together and all the elements and studio together for the launch.
