What happened to KBSG staff

Did anyone survive ??? Will KJR-FM pick up some of staff since it was J that hired em in the first place???
The station finished June with some big ole numbers so the staff can leave with heads held high not that it matters a hell of a lot :'( In June KBSG had double the 25-54 numbers of KIRO-AM :-\ Pretty damn good month for the old cowboys like KBSG's Fastlane, Ichy at Compass, Bob Rivers, K@A. Maybe it was just an older leaning phase but it is kinda nice to see a KBSG staff exit the house with the best numbers in their building 8)

I noticed KBSG got a sudden boost, not a HUGE jump, but one small step for oldies-kind. But the damage has been done. KBSG finished out far ahead of KJR-FM (which finished just beneath KPTK.)

I don't know of any real "younger" leaning phases in radio these days...

No one survived. I think these class acts could've at least had a chance to say goodbye though. Radio One gave that to their Los Angeles hosts before Bonneville took control of 100.3 "The Sound."

19 full and part time staff of the company were laid off.

From the article linked here: http://tinyurl.com/69uq7c
"Nineteen full-time and part-time employees will be laid off as a result of the change, [Gardner] said."

Hey! Mister Gardner?: Isn't the Captain supposed to go down with the ship? Who the **** are you? KIRO FM will crash and burn!

To compare the radio industry to a luxury liner is like comparing Banquet Salisbury Steak to prime aged filet mignon....

Don't even try...
