it is bad even in town and drops out in searchlight...did one of the mourning host's spill her drink in the transmiter? why don't they get some weekend hosts with deeper voices? I'm tired of the same squeaky voices doing the same iraq crap over and over..

Perhaps because it's summertime and AM propogation is worse in summer. The transmitter is not at the studio, so spilling a drink in it is not on the list of possibilities.
