What happened to the Bear?

I have my own classic country station which I enjoy, but it's not a ratings powerhouse. So I'm always encouraged when I see a classic country station with big numbers, even though I don't ever pick up stations other than those in Fayetteville and Wilmington.

I switched to a different site to get Arbitron ratings and it only has one of the two stations listed, and that one's not getting big numbers. It's getting Thunder Country numbers.

I will give WNBR and WNBB their due, the ratings for both stations are reasonable, and the power increase WNBR got to 50,000 watts at
97.9 helped them, there is a audience for "classic country", as shown by them and WSMO-AM in Jacksonville.

Where do you get these ratings? The site I used to go to doesn't work, and the one I used this last time didn't list but one of the two stations, and it didn't get good numbers alone.

On the Radio-Info web site, check under "ratings"
I think that is the site I used, and it didn't have but one station, and that station is doing poorly.

Since I was here last, I have seen a news story that suggest Bob Barker may have freed it.

I checked the site again and there are two Bears.

In fact, it would appear there are three, but those are just similar call letters.

But if they truly simulcast they should be together. It looks like as a pair they are doing well.

The "Bears" are WNBB 97.9 and WNBR 98.9. What is the third that you think is also a Bear?
WNBU, but I learned about that station from this site. I would think those call letters would confuse people.
