WHAT HAPPENED TO "THE GAMBLER"?

Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining - I didn't like WRKO's "The Gambler" show at all. I wrote to the station several times complaining about it. I'm HAPPY it's gone! I'd rather listen to The Joe Pags Show! It just seems strange because WRKO adjusted their whole schedule in early January to give "The Gambler" more hours, and ironically now it's gone. I'm just curious to know why.
Honestly, it would make a much better podcast than a radio show anyway. AND I didn't think it fit well with WRKO's format at all.
As Ben Stein would say: "Anyone?? Anyone??"

I saw on LinkedIn Laurie Kirby and Adam Kaufman were let go.

Sorry to read this. Laurie is married to WATD morning man and BZ weekend traffic anchor Rob Hakula. Rob is without question the nicest guy you would ever want to work with. I can say that after working with him for over six years. Everytime I tune into BZ I hear new reporters. Long gone are the days of Westinghouse Broadcasting, a company that had a deep commitment to producing quality local news.

I really feel bad that iheart let Laurie go. She was my favorite anchor on WBZ, and I’d make it a point to listen to her newscasts 4-5 times a week.

She had the nicest, smoothest voice and a delightful on-air presence. She had such wonderful rapport with the traffic reporters and the Bloomberg reporters. I will miss her terribly.

Thanks for nothing, iheart. You let go of a gem.

Thanks everybody. The Kenny Rogers stuff WAS funny! As I wrote, I just didn't like Adam's show. Maybe the ratings weren't good.
