what happened to the Lite staff?

When KMZQ was Klassy 100, they actually had the 3 M's working a little bit. Music, Mornings, and Marketing. Despite Gary Berkowitz, their consultant, they had a large amount of success.
It took Infinity to change the format to "Lite" not spend a dime on it, and ruin it. They spent a fortune to hire Melanie, and that went over like a fart in church.
At least Infinity will market Jack so Jackasses can make themselves look good and say they succeeded. After 1 year, and more budget cuts, let's see what becomes of them.
I hope Production Director Ty Sante, Rick Kelly, and Tom Wright are still there at least(espcially Rick...my kids have grown up with him, and I think he is one heck of a talented and real person.) We all know real and radio don't seem to mix well these days.
I wish these 3 the best and home someday the "casualty" business in radio will stop, and people will be treated like people.

To answer your question, Rick, Ty and Tom Wright are still with Infinty at Jack. Ty continues as Production Director and is also the Imaging guy. Ty deserves more, he is a true professional and one heck of a talent. Infinty needs to let go of the black and white thing and pay more respect to him. Rick Kelly is to be teamed with somebody if he is to do mornings again with Jack. Otherwise, they're going to toss him in the afternoon drive. Eric Wright will move into the nights slot or voice track him for overnights. Thank god, NO MORE TESH OR LEEZA to be on Jack. Craig "CP" Powers is going to continue in the middays and you can bet on this, VOICE TRACKING ON THE WEEKENDS! THe station itself has been booked for live events all over town. The buzz is, Rio and all its sister's (Harrahs/Park Place Entertainment Group) planned on booking Mix as their Host station for the new home of the Celebrity Poker Championships giving locals a chance at playing poker with some of their favorit celebs. Because JACK is now on the waves and the Poker Champonships draws more men to the tables, Harrah's was compelled to pitch the idea the the promotions team of Jack! Star also stands to lose. Because of Jacks wide playlist, The people of the Fremont Street Experience are considering booking Jack for the New Year's Street Party. This years talent is considered to be the best for downtown. Strongly considered for the event are The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Stones, Doobie Brothers, Journey f/ Steve Perry, KISS, Billy Joel and opening acts already signed are 38. Special and Rick Springfield. One of these big names will play there. Las Vegas granted $250,000 each to the "FSE" and LVCVA. I hear tickets for this event will be $150 a pop. and the host station gets 100 pair. Now that is awesome!
