What Happened to the Signal for Channel 9

I know this is a Television subject, but was wondering if anyone who uses over the air reception has noticed an issue with receiving Channel 9 recently? With the new digital signals, watching their pixelized blocks has driven me away from their station and I do live just north in northern Meck county. Have any of you heard if they are doing something to their transmitter, perhaps making changes/upgrades? I know they have a short xmitter tower but the location is centralized and they are normally pretty strong. Just curious as to what is going on with them.

Their transmission line burned up. They are on their backup antenna. Their Chief posts on the AVS Forum. He says the whole line needs to be replace and will be the end of the month before it will be delivered.

I still watch on cable, though I have to say during the summer I wasn't having any trouble with WXLV. And they don't have a news department so no annoying commercials for news!

Lately, I've replaced the TV and it's hard getting the antenna wire back in the right position. Plus I wonder if the weather changes have caused me problems.

On June 14 I got 'No Singal" on channel 9 so if I'm not watching them on cable, who cares?

Digital TV has changed some coverage areas, others gained, others lost, but at least the picture is much better with no static or interference

On the other hand, when you get interference it's much worse. I'm listening to the sound go out completely for long periods of time! I thought I had the antenna pointed at the station I'm trying to listen to. It works most days. I just don't want to fiddle with it right now.

Well, it worked. I saw "Roy's Folks". No problems (okay, one).

I probably would get better results on Chanel 9 if I didn't have the antenna pointed toward channel 45. The antenna I'm using now has about half the gain and I think that's making a difference. But having two converter boxes lets me play around with the antenna, and this one lets me set different psitions for different channels.

Okay, I turned that TV off and I'm waiting for "The Simpsons" to record on Channel 48 (which shares a tower with channel 45). I hope I'll get good results today.

Yeah, I could change the channel on that TV. Since I can't set the other VCR to record Roy even though I know when he's on once again, I'm having to remember to do stuff anyway.
