The "best" show on AM in morning drive is hosted by a group of hacking, senile, Alzheimer patients.
The "best" show on FM in morning drive is hosted by an illiterate man named for a contraceptive device.
The "best" show on AM in afternoon drive is hosted by the guy who talks about Britney Spears on his other show and gets his ass kicked in the ratings by the aforementioned contraceptive device.
And if you're not elderly, working on a construction site, or 13 years old, there isn't a decent music station to listen to...

I'd say that's a bit harsh... AM Tampa Bay is aimed at adults, and they generally steer clear of the potty humor... after all it is intended for ADULTS.
Scnitt is the only local game on AM PM in town, so it is not a real competition. Once Medved comes on, he can put on an interesting program.
The fact that there is not a 'decent music station to listen to' is a bit subjective, but I would suggest that this is a problem for the music radio aspect of the business in general. For one, all the stations are shooting for the basic same demographic, leaving many varieties of music underserved (or unserved). Could a station make more money being THE Dixieland Jazz station, as opposed to being the third place adult contemporary station.
Two, because somebody decided a long time ago that people don't like to hear DJ patter, many stations have got rid of them, making the resulting jukebox a bit boring. If a station going after the same demographic wanted to break out of the pack, I would be interested in seeing what a modern day Cousin Brucie or Dan Ingram could do in six month's time, playing the same music as the competition but adding the element of WIT in between the hits.
