What happened to Todd Wilson? Handel KFI

Conway had Mark Thompson (Mark & Brian) on last night, and there were very candid about the radio industry. For instance, Mark and Brian haven't spoken since KLOS ended the show. Brian tore into Conway for digging him on air at KLSX.

Being candid is so refreshing to hear on the radio. Usually these hosts are such robots who just spew out the talking points of whatever agenda they have. It's like John Phillips this morning started his open line Friday show by saying Talk Radio was the only last bastion for free expression, then proceeded to say that he would cut anyone off if they criticized any of his fellow hosts on KABC or said something he felt was a lie. Do these idiots even listen to themselves? Can someone explain to this Glee fanatic what free expression means? Why not be candid yourself or let people be candid and criticize what Larry Elder or Peter Tilden do?

The only people that I remember being candid on the air were Howard Stern and Tom Leykis. Both used to criticize their bosses and co-workers not for ratings sake but just expressing their frustrations and I guess that is why people felt more connected with them as opposed to say a George Noory or John Phillips who sound the same day in and day out. Are they even human?

Where's John Ziegler when you need him. Soon after he left KFI he set up a website with a long dissertation on the real KFI and he proceeded to tell a lot of dirt and behind the scenes story of that station.
Ziegler is a lunatic Sarah Palin worshiper, and that website he put up was the delusional ramblings of someone who belonged in an insane asylum.

I don't think Ziggy was delusional. I do think he couldn't handle the drama associated with media in Los Angeles (the spill-over-from-Hollywood diva mentality). Radio is much more easier going than TV or film, but it still gets its share of clashing egos.

I can't fault Zig. I never seriously wanted to work in LA radio. He'd do well to pick up some small towns and build a syndicated show for America's heartland.

"Utility Analyst" is that like "Custodial Engineer"?

Not in Burbank, which operates its own electric utility. It's a professional level posting.
