What Happened to Tom Kent

This article recently showed up in R&R about Tome Kent
"After being unable to reach a new agreement with the TKO Radio Network, company president and show host Tom Kent has decided to leave the company and his host chair. Kent had been hosting the nationally syndicated shows "Classic Top 40 With Tom Kent," "Hall Of Fame Coast To Coast" and "Into The 70s With Tom Kent" in over 200 markets.

TKO CFO/GM Susan Thompson tells R&R that all three shows will continue with a new host or hosts. “We’ve been here for 30 years and will continue to deliver these great products,” Thompson said. “The TKO Network is alive, kickin’ and moving forward.”

Anyone know what has become of Tom (Former WIXY, WAVA, WLS, G98) and his stepup near Cleveland where he build those networks from? I understand he will be replaced on his Sunday gig by John Landecker (WLS fame)

According to some recent posts on the Cinci boards, Marty "with the party" Thompson..formerly of the now defunct Real Oldies WSAI and FM competitor WGRR is stepping up to the plate.

It's "Marty with the Party" with the "Hall of Fame" show and John "Records" Landecker with "Into the 70s" as I understand. I caught marty on Columbus's WODB.

Are we referring to TRUCKIN' Tom COOKIN' Kent? Or some pretender.

Is "Marty with the Party" also doing overnights on XM's 60's channel? ???

If his last name isn't Thompson, I venture to guess...no.
Big dude with a big voice.
Thompson was previously at Hamilton/Cincinnati's WGRR. Before that at "Real Oldies" 1530 WSAI and KQOL,an oldies station in Las Vegas(now KPLV "the party") and the original WDJO (then at 1230..now WDBZ)in Cincinnati.

He must be back. He's doing overnights on XM 60's channel....well, since it's nationwide, midnights on eastern time zone :-\
