What happened to Trey?

For the past two weeks, KTSA morning show host Trey Ware has been absent from his post. In his place have been 'theCoach' and just this morning, Mr channel 5 himself, Chris Marrou, news anchor and lawyer. As always, or maybe I missed the memo, KTSA never informs its audience, which it cares for so dearly, of what happened or where are they went. Last Sunday, the Ricci Ware show was a repeat from the previous week, or was it the week before that (I can't recall exactly) ? During the Ricci Ware repeat, Ricci gave out the incorrrect time, saying it was 5:47 when it was actually 6:49 or so. That was when I realized that the show was a repeat. Does the senior Ware's absence have anything to do with the junior's absence, or is this another episode in shareholder value defense through asset liquidation?

Trey is class act and a hell of a guy. This is HORRIBLE what has happend to him and his family. My thoughts are with them 100%

Now, here's a question. Why was there no news stories about what happened? I would think that Trey is a public figure and this would be a news story?

The media, as a rule just about anywhere in the US, don't cover that type of death.

I'm not saying what type because he hasn't revealed it publicly. The kind thing to do would be not to discuss it in any more detail until he does.

I didn't say give graphic details. I was thinking a mention of this on the NEWS STATIONS would be something to consider. Look, Trey talked about it and it was sad to hear and I don't wish that on my worst enemy.

Replying to the first post, did Chris Marrou just fill in one day. And is he scheduled again? I remember watching his newscasts through the 80s and 90s when I'd travel ever few months to San Antonio. His newsreel is something I still watch online. Not always great, but certainly a better way to end the news than most TV outlets do.

As for the subject of this thread, this is sad, tragic news.

There was just one day of Chris Marrou. He was a little rough around the edges, probably because of the early hour and unfamiliarity with the tools and timing, but overall did a good job.

Trey is back in the chair, so I suppose it remains to be seen whether Chris might be tapped for a future stint as the fill-in host.
