what happened to W292DV-FM 106.3?

Is it? I thought it was still owned by Mike Celenza, same guy who owns WLIM & its translator W227CL running The Breeze out of Coram, NY.

WBLS HD2 is not silent, it's playing songs by The Notorious B.I.G. round the clock.
I think that he referred to the translator being silent. He checked 106.3 and 107.9

The intention is apparently for the translator to rebroadcast WJDM AM, Radio Cantico (Spanish Christian programming). It appears that WBLS has nothing to do with it.
Apparently the signal, pending approval, would be limited primarily to a chunk of Brooklyn.

Meanwhile in parts of NJ you hear two stations on 107.9, each identifying as WOLD-LP but one is oldies and one is soft AC?

Not quite...

One is branding as "WOLD", the other is legally WOLD-LP. The "WOLD" branded is now a commercial operation fed by 103.3 WPRB-HD3 to 95.1 W236CT Edison and 107.9 W300CZ Ewansville. The LPFM is only identifying by its calls at the top of the hour, but branding as "Sunny 107.9". Since the Middlesex/Somerset/Union market's ratings are measured by PPM, there is no confusion. IF either are even encoding.

As part of the deal to acquire W236CT, the WOLD-LP license was supposed to be surrendered to allow W300CZ to attempt to move to 1 World Trade Center. They were beaten to the punch by W292DV so the LPFM and the Ewansville translator have become placeholders.

Am wondering if that 'Putbrese' of the privy councilors Putbrese. Hunacker amd Trent (for that 107.9 W300EI) is related to, or is the same guy who co-owned 1580 on Long Island decades ago. That fellow was out of Iowa, I believe, and must be in his early Eighties now.
