What happened to WHQR's translators?

Technically an SC topic because this affects Myrtle Beach.

WHQR had a translator in Myrtle Beach at 98.9 but yesterday all I heard was Spanish programming. Not that it matters since why would anyone in Myrtle Beach need to hear WHQR's NPR programming when WHMC has the same thing?

But this is a real problem. WHQR has an HD-2 channel with classical music and its translator at 102.3 was playing Spanish language music, from different genres even during a short period of time. WSCI supposedly reaches Myrtle Beach (the radio I take along won't pick up anything below 94.5, and I don't recall getting good results in the car) and has more classical music than the talk stations.

That gives me a 404 error and, besides, WNMB is not Spanish. Oops. Apparently it is, but no one ever said anything here.

I guess WHQR doesn't care about getting money from Myrtle Beach.

Don't these translators cover essentially the same area? WHQR could have kept one for the classical music.
Related note.. WHQR is back to near full strength after being hard to hear in Horry County for much of February and March.
