WHAT HAPPENED TO WINK TV THIS MORNING?

Woke up at 6am to find CBS morning news on WINK TV instead of the local newscast. At about 6:20 coming out of a spot break they went back to the local newscast appologising for " technical difficulities " no on explained what happened. Anyone hear anything about this?

Leftover electrical problems from Beyonce's show.

Can someone please start a Fort Myers/Naples board for this stuff? Thanks.

All they said was it was "technical difficulties" and that they appreciated everyone's patience. Nothing on their website either.

Temporary "technical difficulties" will NEVER show up on theirs, or anybody else's, website.

Most people wouldn't notice so there is no point in feeding something negative about your station to someone you want to buy time.

That's what these forums become.

Maybe a WINK, BLINK and NOD? ;D Wasn't that a FACES LP title in the 70's? ;)

Remember... "A Wink Is As Good As A Nod, To A Blind Horse!"

She's a goer! Nudge-Nudge-Wink-Wink! And Tampa - St. Pete People need to send the nusance of Ft.Myers-Naples-Cape-Charlotte complaints to not us, of that interest.. To the website director who decides what goes where.. We know were not a Top-20 market, but I don't see WPB comments being ripped by Miami folk! (tease-tease).... ;D

Miami stations are heard in WPB.

Fort Myers radio stations heard or TV seen in Tampa?

Nothing against Fort Myers. Seriously. Try the Florida board.

It states right on the Tampa Board heading that it includes Fort Myers and Sarasota. This is where postings about Fort Myers/Naples are assigned to. If there are those who don't care for that then I suggest that they suggest to the board moderators that a separate board for Fort Myers/Naples be established. Until then this is where we will have to post.

Make sure we get a Sa-ra-so-ta! Board, also.

Make sure it's spelled right (don't forget the "!", too!

Ft. Myers rarely shows up here. I don't think there is enough going on there to justify its own board. If you see a post related to SWFLA just skip it and it won't bother yo anymore. :)

Not a problem, really but i do admit not being aware that this board did include all the way down to Fort Myers. I'm a bit of a regionalist and the two markets just seemed too far apart to be on the same board. Carry on

So...Since Tampa radio doesn't really care about us, where would Sa-ra-so-ta! fit in your world of discussion topics?

BTW, I don't believe "regionalist" is a word...yet.

Bradenton/sarasota has always been considered part of the South Bay, in fact aren't a few of the so called Tampa Bay stations actually licensed out of there, like 102.5?

Yes, even WEDU Channel 3 identifies itself as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota.
Doesn't count, since they are not commercial.

I think we need a board for ARCADIA! Henry! Henry! Get in here! ;D

City of License doesn't seem to matter anymore.

Channel 62 is still holding a COL that is Venice, but the transmitter is in Riverview and the commercials are of the Tampa Market.
