What happened to WRCI AM?

Noted WRCI AM 1520 (Three Rivers) off the air last week... but the FM translator was still on. Does anybody know if they signed the AM off permanently? Can you have a translator without a station to "translate"? Just wondering.
 
Update: AM back on the air but signal is extremely weak. Weaker than usual, that is...
