...Mike Naydock? I haven't heard him on for a few weeks, maybe longer. 103.5 is the background music at my job, and I noticed he hasn't been on in a while. Anyone?<P ID="signature">______________

I do still hear him doing Cellarful of Noise on WKAB Sunday Nights, though I don't know how long that will last with him working for another station.

Yes, he still does Cellarful for KAB. He records it at WAZL and sends it over to them on disc. KAB begged him to keep doing it for them, and AZL is OK with it.

naaaah. no begging. i wanted to keep doing the show on a regional
basis, and the folks at WAZL were good enough to let me do it. chalk
one up for local original music to BOTH 'azl and 'kab.

Can we add: "Chalk one up for class on the part of WAZL"?

Question for Mike

Hey Mike! When you were on The Bear, I remember you having 2 Sunday night shows - "Cellarful.." for the local stuff, and then there was another show for new stuff by national recording artists -- It's been bugging the heck outta me... What was the name of that other show??

Thanks! :)

I agree. WAZL could have just said 'you work for us know, forget it.' Not a lot of stations would allow someone to do something for another station, especially one that covers the same area. And WKAB could have said, 'hey buddy, you left the station, you can't do anything here anymore.' It's refreshing to see these two stations cooperating for the good of local artists and listeners.

i called the show "the ultra sonic burn". i was able to play all kinds of
new indie stuff and some of my "oldie favorites" like the jam, sex pistols
clash, etc. i had a gas doing that show! still have a show or two saved on
reel.
