What happened with oldiesxl.com

I live in the Philadelphia area and had been listening to oldiesxl.com and earlier this month they ceased operations. Anyone have any idea what happened?

How did operations continue for three years after the stop-work order? The arrest was in 2020, the order in 2021. Both stories posted were old news, if the dates on them are correct.

It's a shame on what happened. Oldies XL was a great station with great DJ's. Their playlist went pretty deep for an oldies station. I feel so bad for the employees that were affected by this.

His bail was revoke. He's in custody. He owes thousands of dollars to radio people who "worked" for him at Popradio 77 and Oldies XL. His FBI case sentencing is set for early March.

I almost worked for him at PopRadio. Luckily, I did an online search first, and discovered the charges. I confronted him and told him I couldn't work for him. The guy who stayed is still owed over ten thousand dollars.

I was one of those affected announcers! None of us expects to recapture any of our lost/stolen wages. I too wondered how the guy was able/allowed to continue with all his legal woes. All I know is that someone, a former employee tried to warn me but I was so desperate to get back into "radio" that I allowed myself to be duped by that mini Bernie Madoff!
So let's recap:
*Relocation from Michigan to NJ, then to PA: $2700
*Hotel costs for two weeks: $530
*Apartment deposit and first month: $1900
*One month's rent: $971
*Three months salary: Roughly $5500
None of which I will ever see again. I do hope however that he gets some jail time equal to the destruction that he caused in the lives of those of us unfortunate enough to have been his victim.

I used to work for this guy too. Back when it was popradio77 in NJ. The definition of a scumbag who stole my wages, that even though the state sided with me, I will obviously never see a dime of what I am owed.
