WHAT HAPPENED????

Is it just me or have all of the intensely personal comments that used to appear on this board completely disappeared since our government got involved with message board posters???? Where have all the people gone who were on the 'inside' and used to kill certain members of management of former members of radio stations management teams......seems as everyone isnt as 'chatty' anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The sad thing is that those people who were posting the potentially slanderous things on this page who work with some of these people wouldnt have the 'gumption' to say things to their face. The board has gotten better since these cowards are now talking about radio, unfortunately most of those people dont know very much about the business except for gossip. just needed to vent.

I agree. When I first started coming here it was actually worse because there was out & out online fighting back & forth. This goes back a few years when this was providenceradio.com. Then things go through settling down periods before people act up again. I actually sent a complaining email to the moderators a few weeks ago about one particular poster who hasn't been banned but has at least stopped posting. I don't mind seeing valid criticism but the personal stuff has always bothered me especially since it's too easy to just lie & people will believe what they read. I do have to say though that sometimes I think certain people who may never post anything actually come here for nothing but the gossip & bickering.

My job is not worth losing.
There are many good people that work in radio.
There are some who are really sick.
I watched many get hurt by a few. Some really fine people.
There was a post about a month ago.
Person said , 'we' change nothing. Person was happy about the new law.
The poster said we were all cowards.
He or she only posted once. Made me think.
The final straw was that one poster found out who another was and
tried to attack that person.
In the last month, 2 local stations have spread the word on
posting, namely,don`t.
Jock, SkyNet, Kenwood,Runrigger, and many others ; I enjoy all your posts.
Runrigger once said this board was created for FM, music, things like
that. He`s right,at least, I think he is.
