What happens if an EAS alert happens while I'm recording a show?

For example, I record "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and suddenly, an EAS test pops up on my TV, with Spectrum and a Cisco DVR.

Does this mean that the EAS alert stays there in the playback of the recording or does it not?

i'm pretty much on Satellite (i have DirecTV, plus i live in a rural area where there's no way to get cable so satellite is the only option) and the EAS Test or Alerts that air on either local or national channels on DirecTV pretty much, if the show you DVR'ed is interrupted, then chances are, the EAS alert/test is on your recording in it's entirety (unless the test was cut off at the end of the DVR recording or joined in progress at the start of the recording).

i don't know about Cable DVRs for cable providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, etc.

it may depend on the DVR, and the channel. i hope someone else with cable could answer it for you cause us satellite TV customers (with DirecTV or Dish) can't really help you with this one.

yes....at least on Comcast it does

That's interesting, because I have Midcontinent, which is a regional cable provider in the Dakotas and Minnesota. Our EAS completely interrupts/stops the DVR recording, then restarts it once the EAS message is finished. So we don't see the EAS in the recording. The program will even show up as multiple programs, as when it restarts it adds it as a completely new recording. If there is lots of bad weather and multiple interruptions, then we have multiple pieces of programs to watch.
