What Happens to a Host who is "Too Liberal?"

Some people here like to use the word "failed" to describe somebody who used host a talk show (at least used to host a right wing talk show). What happens to a host after management tells him he's "too liberal?"

Jerry Klein was once the liberal voice of Charlotte on WBT radio (1110 AM). In 1997, WBT said conservative Charlotte wasn't ready for Klein and fired him. It's sad. There's a place for small time comedians and movie actresses, MDs who dabble in politics, trash TV hosts, former politicians - even for star search contest amateurs - in progressive talk radio but not for a guy who did a good and got good numbers in local radio.

Klein's WMAL weekend show airs Sunday afternoon 3pm to 4pm.
