What happens to Imus staff?

Just wondering are Mcord, Bernard, Rufino, Bartlet and Kinney fired? Are they on the Imus staff or technically under contract with WFAN itself?

During the Mike and the Mad Dog show on Friday it was mentioned that some of the Imus staff would be in helping them with the AM show (I think I heard Charles, Lou, Carlin). That Charles was on the air Friday seemed to indicate that staff were not necessarily terminated at the same time as Imus. One name not mentioned during M&MD was Bernard although he is still listed on "Personalities" section of the WFAN website.

I am curious about something. Was Don Imus taken off the air? or was "The Imus In The Morning Show" taken off of the air? This may be a terrible comparison, but when a coach is fired usually the assistant coaches are fired also.

Any ideas?

I suppose it depends on the situation. In this case Don Imus was fired/taken off the air, not his entire ensemble/cast. It's probably too early still to tell where everyone will wind up.

I know Lou has been running the show technically for years (I think since WFAN was born) so there's no reason why he wouldn't continue in that capacity. Charles and Bernard I imagine also have contracts so it's possible that they'll be a part of what ever is next for a morning show.

Any idea what Imus's most recent contract was worth annually? Since I have never had an opportunity to look at these deals, do you think that Imus got a buy out when he was terminated. And if so, how much?

I had heard on one of the newscasts that the I-Man received per contract $10 million a year. I'm certain that CBS Radio and Imus' representative will work out some nice buyout.
