What I heard this afternoon on KOOL and an opinion question

Well....I remember a post some weeks ago from TommyR saying that Briggs does not like ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) when 100.7 was Arrow. Well if Briggs still does not like ELO then my tom Murphy and a listner pulled a good one today. I turned on the radio about to pull out of a local restaurant and what was playing got my ears burning....in a good way....Evil Woman by ELO. Unless the Arf who is the Music Director has thrown that in...then Tom Murphy must have to pull that one out of the closet....I really hope to hear more ELO on KOOL....that is some good music they have.......

For those who have the Radio Data System (RDS) or what some call Radio Text how do you all like what Renda has done with the use of the system on Gator, KOOL and Lite......Since they are now running song titles and artist names now on Lite....same on Gator but when it comes to promotions done by the DJs they come up of the name of the promotion and who is doing it and even when Tail Gator traffic is on you will know it in the display and KOOL is doing the same with the song title and artist name plus adding the year when the song was a hit....I like it a lot....of course I know all of this due to my nice iPod that I have that includes the FM Radio adapter that has RDS built in it.

Later.

Ex-Mburg --- you VIP.

Wondered how you manage to listen to Kool and Gator at the same time.

Glad to see you post. Keep all of us enlightened.

What the heck...if you're already playing "Celebration" and "Coming To America," then "Evil Woman" should fit right in, I guess. Now if we hear it on Sunny, we know Briggs has changed his mind.

I guess this is the state of oldies...er, "classic top 40" radio!

Last week one of Tom Kent's 8-Track Flashbacks was "Train In Vain" by The Clash. "Good times" my ass. Now I am depressed. I'm only 27. What's next, Pearl Jam?
