What if KDUS got SPIKED?

Wouldn't it be easy for KDUS to get a facelift to SPIKE Radio. They could use some of their sport programming they currently use and use some programs like:

Mancow
Don and Mike

Might put some life into this poor excuse for a radio station

ZONE beat them to the punch. Those shows mixed with brokered sports talk... a new losing station.

Well not really cause Zone is not doing any sports radio talk and they are doing music overnights and all weekend. So technically its not the same format. What is your proposal for kdus?

Umm, turn in the license? KDUS is the result of uncreative management in an overradioed market. With all due respect, to say I should have a plan for them is ridiculous... they're beyond hope. What AM-friendly format could they switch to and make any kind of impact? News/talk is well overdone, standards is on KOY and 97.5, sports is fine with upward-ticking XTRA and KTAR-throwaway-sister KMVP, Spanish AMs are plentiful and don't work in the first place, and religion is overdone with the new flips. What else is there? Just because KXXT has some listeners and a few sponsors doesn't mean they're getting rich; there are plenty of clients paying $5 a holler on numerous stations. KFNX and to some degree the religious outlets take a more creative approach by doing a different routine than the "beg people to listen->get numbers->have AEs push spots->beg listeners to support advertisers" deal. But outside of brokering sports talk, KDUS is probably too late to that party, too.

> Urban AC??? It cant hurt....KUKQ (previous to KDUS) used to have half way good ratings with this format. No one else is doing it here, it can't be any more of a loser than what we have offered already.

Would be very easy to plug in abc touch format and plug in possibly Tom Joyner or Steve Harvey for am drive.
