Hmmm...let's see...102.9 has been right there with KDF in numbers with an inferior signal and 105.9 has been on a roll for being #1 -#3. 97.1 and Jack have numbers based upon some form of "rock" that certainly helps their numbers. I think it could be better than a 5-6 share if formatted correctly. Seems like a nice tie into 104.5 as a sports station. Maybe some one at
102.5 and 102.9 noticed that connection. I'd hate to think I was Cromwell if Crumy was bright enough to see a threat to 104.5. But, I digress...
I remember back when I lived in west Tennessee, I was listening to 92 out of Jackson one Saturday night, when the dj on duty mentioned that he had gotten a call from a listener in Waverly who said something to the effect of "y'all are outrockin' 'KDF tonight!" 8) An angle on the story that could only come from a west Tennessean's point of view. Bottom line, 'KDF was REALLY overrated as a so-called "rock" station, at least in the '80s and '90s. :
