What in the world is 101.5 (doing)?

I came across this station yesterday around the evening while they were counting down sirius xm hits. Out of boredom from the plethora of other chr's all playing the same thing, I put it back on this station very early this morning as I drifted back to sleep. I figured at least this station had something new, intriguing, suspenseful and different about it so I'll at least remain fascinated with it for a while. Next thing I know, I wake up a few hours later and hear some "hardcore jazz", or some type of jazz music that is normally played on NPR stations. Now, I decided to check in again to see what's going on and it's back to Sirius XM hits, except this time they are not counting down anything. If this frequency is going to (seemingly) be used for basically nothing, they could at least consider letting Spin FM (or someone / something else) use the signal.

From All Access:

DAVIDSON MEDIA GROUP brokered Classic Hits WOLT (103.3)/GREENVILLE, SC is still a brokered station, but has literally spun the format wheel, debuting a new Top 40-targeted all mix format called SPIN-FM, a service of CHICAGO-based JAMTRAXX MEDIA, during a lot of hours in its broadcast week.

Listening thru tunein, it's a mix of Dance, Top 40 and Hip Hop....I like it!!!

Where are you located? In SoCal there are a number of low power stations operating on 101.5 (one of which is near Newport Beach) that could block KGB under certain conditions.

Chances are that someone was using a SiriusXM FM Transmitter and had it tuned to 101.5 (one of the most relatively "clear" signals on the LA dial). I know that KOCI-LP operates on 101.5, however, it broadcasts from Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area, so the signal doesn't go farther than Santa Ana.
