WHAT is Back on the Air

Or W. needed more days on the ranch back in his day? ;D

You folks are funny!

All that's left this season is for Hell to freeze over around mid-October -- check the itinerary on 106.9 -- and maybe a new volcano. I hope cats can predict volcanos. That'd be the only useful thing we'll have gotten from this little destructive beast here.

We're somewhat between Reading and Wilkes-Barre as far as 1340 goes, so reception of WHAT will be the usual minimal/nothing irrespective of format. We'd probably hear WMID first. I think all Class IVs should be granted permission to go to 5000 watts. All regionals go to 10,000 watts omni, like on the X-Band. Give the listeners at night, if any, the option to complain.

Question for the tech folks here, in light of all these signs of Armageddon : When this winter's blizzard of the century does things like bury the Washington Monument and blanket a dozen states with Nor'easter conditions, is there a form of salt-water path for reception as a result? Siriously .....

oh btw, WHAT is still silent.
...but the carrier is on. Hit you car radio's scan button if you're near Philly and it will stop on 1340. Interesting that the carrier's been on for two days with no programming. Hmmmm......

WHAT has NOT been on with Spanish programming, just the carrier on...so this whole post was just a lame attempt at a "take it outside" political putdown joke...

Well WHAT was definitely playing Spanish music today while I was driving around from 12:30pm to after 1. No production, and no legal ID either for that matter. Some traditional Mexican, and some contemporary hits/artists like Shakira and "We Speak No Americano".
