What is better Party 105 or Pulse 87??

I agree Brett, they should all sound different, we just need more stations is all. That way even if the playlists varied, there would be enough songs played on every Dance station to make a difference. We need more stations like Party 105, which is monitored by both Rhythmic and Dance, that helps Dance songs get into the rhythmic charts even if only a few stations are playing them.

If Clear Channel adopted dance and had a dance station in almost every market, they would all sound very similar. I like how each dance station has its own flavor that's unique to it. Party has a lot of rhythmic hits, Pulse87 has a lot of pop remixes, Z-88.9 has a lot of older freestyle in rotation, Super 91.7 and C-89.5 are almost all current dance. Back when they existed, 95.3 Party in Orlando had a lot of hip hop and current dance, and Party 93.1 in Miami had a lot of underground dance. Each program director programs their own "flavor" of dance for the market. To someone who hates dance, it all sounds the same. The same is true for formats like rock and country.

Dance Music

At least I dont hate dance music...I embrace it.

As for dance stations, they need to program it for the people and not on a corporate level.

Dance is a marketable format, but with the dumbness of corporate radio and the labels limiting dance promotion, not wonder why Dance is struggling.

Nevermind the Disco Demolition Night in Chicago in 1979...<Steve Dahl is more dumber than The Wolfman.
