What is Cox up to with 100.9 MHz

I ran across this: http://www.radio-locator.com/info/W265BD-FX . I use to live very close to this location and could get 98.5 on my clock radio. Is there“hole” in 98.5’s coverage when they added HD? Or is this an attempt to block someone? This translator will be on Sweat Mountain the same hill as 105.7 is on. This translator will have better cover than a couple of Class A FM’s I can think of.

Maybe they are going to launch a new station at 100.9 fed from the WSB-FM-HD2 signal. Cox is using an FM translatior in Birmingham, although being fed via an AM signal.

There is also a report that Cox is starting up a translator on 96.5 FM. That one will probably be fed via one of the other three FMs. Assuming WSB-AM does not switch formats so it can feed a translator (highly unlikely), they can have four translators, feeding off of each FM station Cox has.

Anyone think the Beat will surface up on that translator frequency??

Beat? What exactly does this mean?
And if it's what I'm thinking, who might be the on-air people there and where would they come from?

Their is reason why CJ and Murf Dawg are still on the payroll don't you think?

Side note saw CJ at the hawks game Friday. Just try and name a hotter woman in Atlanta Radio.

I think they would have cut them loose if they didn't think there could be a future in Atlanta. They didn't have to keep them here in Atlanta to broadcast into smaller markets.

They're syndicated to Athens, Greenville and Richmond. Where would they end up in Atlanta unless Clear Channel was stupid enough to pick them up for WiLD. I think Cox Atlanta is done with wannabe Hip-Hop radio.
