What is Cumulus Thinking?

If it was the Big A I'm familiar with, that would be quite entertaining, but I don't think a cab driver from NYC would be doing radio in Nashville :p

Any time I have the antenna pointed north anymore though, I have it on 97.1, 96.3 (usually for no longer than a single song) or 102.9, I've pretty much stopped listening to WNRQ, since every song heard on 105.9 can then be heard on 106.1 WTAK down here a minute later (or the other way around)

Where can we find oldies in Nashville? I have resorted to Ipod and XM.

There is a station that I think comes out of Columbia at 101.7 that I sometimes tune in for the oldies music.

Most people should be able to pull that signal in.

101.7 has a good carrier, put their audio is terrible. I think is it a audio processing problem. They are not as loud as the other FM's, even in Columbia, and once again, it's a tech problem. I'm sure they are aware of it and are trying to get it fixed. Their AM at 1340, is the same format WMRO, Magic 1560 is, Bright AC.

Here we go, you must be somewhere 55 plus! You can't see past 1971! You probably don't know who Madonna is, nor can you accept change. That's is what gets people thrown out of coporate, you must accept and adapt to change.

I bet you sit and watch TV Land all day. It's changing with the times as well!

Nice personal attack. Thank you.

While my age is none of your business, I am way under 55. I'm in one of Arbitron's "coveted" demos.

TV Land? What does that have to do with my opinion of a radio station?

I don't want oldies back. I like Classic Hits/Classic Rock when it's done right. 97.1 is not doing it right, in my opinion. The station has no peronality and Bob and Tom sound older than you thought I was. And not the least bit funny.

In my opinion, 97.1 is a snooze of a station, playing bad classic hits. I also like modern rock and have listened to the Buzz when in Nashville. They do fun, entertaining radio, interesting jocks. The air talent on 97.1 sounds like they are afraid they are going to make a mistake while reading the liner cards and get yelled at by the PD.

Okay, now where's my senior citizen discount card?

Bob & Tom are in their 50s, trying to act younger. They come across as dirty old men, as far as I'm concerned. Why anyone wants to listen to Reprobate Radio, regardless of what music they play the rest of the day, is beyond me. Starting off your mornings by listening to something with such a dim view of Life must make for a really sucky day. I like a lot of the music the station plays, but I won't even turn the station on because they've chosen to program Bob & Tom.
