WHAT IS DIRECTV EVERYWHERE ?

Is this similar to cable on demand? If I am in Orlando am I able to watch live TV stations from
Atlanta on a laptop......or is this service limited?

From what I'm reading, it looks like an On-Demand service, but looks like it's only from the premium channels: HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Encore, & The Audience Network (Haven't heard of this one). It says that you can watch DirecTV Everywhere on your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. It also says that you can watch it on your device at no extra charge. Depending on what they offer, it might be a good deal. Unless you use someone else's wi-fi connection, then using your wireless service's bandwidth might not work out for the heavy user.

The Audience Network is DirecTV's in-house channel (formerly The 101); they carry reruns of some old HBO original series (Deadwood, Oz, The Wire), plus original shows that started elsewhere (Friday Night Lights from NBC, Damages from FX). Also, Dan Patrick's radio show that's simulcast on the Fox Sports regional networks originates from the Audience Network.

I've occasionally used DirecTV Everywhere, and the on-demand content, at least from HBO and Cinemax, is rather limited compared to what you get from the networks' on-demand website directly.
