What is going on at CBS?

I understand the Weiner gave his notice. He's going to ESPN interactive. I don't believe that CBS expected this, as just last week they promoted Ed Krampf to (also) oversee the CBS Orlando, FL stations, along with the Tampa cluster he was already running.

Ed is a good guy-and it must feel good for him to take over a place where Roy couldn't cut it-especially when Roy got him tossed from LA in the first place.

I wish him well.

Actually Weiner is going to Fox Interactive, as Regional VP. I think Dan gave it his all, is well liked, and had a great run in LA radio. Maybe he'd like to have a job where his time is not consumed by deciding who to fire next, how to reorg yet again, and the overwhelming challenge of running 7 stations. Tough to win in this game right now. But it is unimaginable to think CBS has burned through 3 market managers in, what, 4 months? Makes Greg Ashlock at Clear Channel look like the Lou Gehrig of LA Radio.

...or the Cal Ripken of LA Radio?
